Élite-Car Service Plan — Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-10-03 · Version 1. This notice covers the Android app Élite-Car Service Plan and the planner on this website.

1. Who we are

This notice is published by ÉLITE-CAR INGENIERIA MECANICA SAS (NIT 901.960.355-6), Cra. 5 #49-98, Av. Mirolindo, Barrio Mirolindo, Ibagué, Tolima, Colombia. Email: [email protected]. Phone: +57 320 301 2711.

In this notice, "we" and "the workshop" mean Élite-Car. "The app" means the Android app Élite-Car Service Plan.

2. What this notice covers

It explains how the app and the brief planner on our website handle the information you type into them, and what happens when you choose to email or call the workshop.

It does not cover your email app, your phone's dialer, your browser or your mobile carrier, which follow their own policies.

3. Information you enter

You can enter details about your vehicle (make, model, year, engine, fuel, transmission, odometer), symptoms you notice, maintenance records, services you want to discuss, a preferred visit day, a budget and notes.

You can also add your own name, phone number and email so the workshop can reply. All of these fields are optional except a brief title and the vehicle make and model, which are needed to save a brief.

Please do not enter information you don't want to share, such as identity document numbers or payment card details. The app never asks for them.

4. Where your briefs are stored

Saved briefs and the brief you are editing are stored only on your device, in the app's private storage. On the website, the planner stores briefs in your browser's local storage for that site.

Briefs stored in the app and briefs stored in a browser are separate. They are not synchronized.

5. No account, no cloud copy

The app has no sign-in and no account. It does not upload your briefs to the workshop or to any server.

Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer are turned off for the app, so your briefs are not copied to a backup service by the app.

6. What the app does not collect

The app does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or calendar access.

It contains no advertising, no analytics, no crash-reporting service and no third-party tracking code, and it does not use an advertising identifier.

Closed empty glass jar

7. Network access

The app works offline. It does not request internet permission: the catalog, maintenance intervals, images and this notice are bundled inside the app.

The website is a set of static pages. Its fonts and images are served with the site; no third-party analytics or advertising scripts are loaded.

Unplugged coiled cable

8. Sending a brief by email

When you choose "Open email app", the app passes the workshop's address, a subject and the brief text to the email app you select. Nothing is sent until you press send in that app.

Your email provider handles the message from that point. The workshop receives only what you actually send.

Blank sealed envelope

9. Calling the workshop

When you choose to call, your phone's dialer opens with the workshop's number. The brief is not transmitted by the call; you can read it from your screen.

10. Copying a brief

If you copy a brief, its text is placed on your device's clipboard. On Android 13 and later the app marks it as sensitive so the preview is hidden. Other apps you use may be able to read the clipboard while the text is there.

Two blank sticky notes

11. How the workshop uses messages you send

If you email or call the workshop, we use the information you provide to understand your vehicle, reply to you and prepare a quote or visit.

We keep messages only as long as needed for that purpose and for our legal and accounting obligations, and we do not sell them.

12. Your choices

You can edit or delete any saved brief at any time. Deleting a brief removes it from this device; it does not recall an email you already sent.

Uninstalling the app removes all briefs stored by the app on that device. Clearing your browser's site data removes briefs stored by the website planner.

13. How long information is kept

On your device, briefs stay until you delete them or uninstall the app. In a browser, they stay until you delete them or clear the site's data.

Messages you send to the workshop are kept as described in "How the workshop uses messages you send".

14. Security

Android keeps each app's private storage separate from other apps. We recommend a screen lock on your phone, because anyone who can unlock it can open the app.

The app does not add its own encryption on top of the protections provided by your device.

15. Children

The app and website are intended for vehicle owners and drivers. They are not directed to children.

16. Your rights

Under Colombian data-protection law (Ley 1581 de 2012), you can ask to know, update, correct or delete personal data the workshop holds about you, and you can withdraw an authorization you gave.

Send your request to [email protected]. Information stored only on your own device is already under your control in the app.

17. Changes to this notice

If the app or website starts handling information differently, we will update this notice and its date before the change applies.
